Normally I see just one, but this morning both were on the lookout for breakfast. There is a conservation area close by, I am assuming this is where they get their food.
And since the hawks are around, I don't see the Mourning Doves in the yard anymore.
That's awesome that you got a good shot of them! Today my normally busy bird feeder didn't have any birds there. I walked outside to see a hawk circling above the house. It is amazing to see how big they are. Beautiful birds!
ReplyDeleteI did sneak up on them, hiding behind the bushes ;-) as soon as I got too close, they took off in their usual eerie quiet way

ReplyDeleteyes it is pretty neat to see them, but they are regulars now. It seems the Mockingbirds, Cardinals, Mourning Doves and Finches don't want to be around any longer :-/
