Dessert Banana 'Raja Puri'

Spending my summer vacation in Italy while growing up in Germany was all about beach time and gelato. lots and lots of it, all the delicious flavors piled high on to a waffle cone...

How To make gelato banana e Cannella

If using the KitchenAid stand mixer ice cream bowl, freeze it for at least 15 hours prior to making gelato.

Ingredients:

  • 18oz ripe bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Recipe Preparation:
  • Use a blender and blend the bananas until smooth.
  • Add all other ingredients, blend for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • use your ice cream maker or attach the KitchenAid Ice cream bowl to the stand mixer and set to speed level 1 (stir)
  • pour the banana mixture into the bowl and let churn for 15 minutes or until the desired consistency.
  • Store your gelato in an airtight container in the freezer. This recipe makes enough gelato to fit into a 3.5 cup Breyers Gelato container.

Gelato has less or no cream and no eggs compared to regular ice cream. Gelato is churned at a slow speed, it is less fluffy and much denser than ice cream. Serve gelato at a warmer temperature than ice cream, so it is silky and soft.
