nursery visits

I had an awesome day with my friends, visiting a couple of nurseries. And no, I did not want to buy plants, but of course anyone knowing me, knows this is an unrealistic and silly notion.

The first nursery we stopped at was  'Boutique Garden Center Valkaria Gardens' in Palm Bay. What a treasure! Reasonable prices and a huge selection of plants.

I wanted to buy a truck load of awesome plants, but I managed to control myself  ;-)

This lipstick plant, I am hoping, my Hummingbirds will like:

Aeschynanthus speciosus

Couldn't pass on this one for my stapeliad collection:

Huernia Zebrina

The Plumeria was at a great price, couldn't resist, and since mine froze last winter, I will keep this one potted to bring into the garage if the temperatures drop below 30F

Plumeria pudica

and this Hoya, who could pass this one up? not me!

Hoya nummularioides

The fragrance of its flowers is wonderful

I stopped planting Crotons since they are frost sensitive, but this one looks so unique :-) I'll keep it potted

Croton Zanzibar

At the second nursery, Rockledge Gardens in Rockledge, I found, besides a few small plants,  a Leopard plant I was lusting after for a while now:

Farfugium japonicum Aureomaculata

What a great day, Life is good :-)
