Thought for the weekend

Last year, looking up to the sky one could see many streaks of planes. Some so high up I wondered they must come from countries far away, others flying lower by coming and going from our Orlando airport. A busy air traffic connecting the world.

But nowadays? I stop what I am doing to snap a picture of the rare sight of a plane high above and I am hoping the travelers are doing well and are kept safe from the Covid-19 virus.

Thought for the Weekend

I dreamt I was a butterfly.
Now I've woken up and no longer know
if I'm a person who dreamed he is a butterfly,
or if I am a butterfly who's dreaming it's a person

My husband said that if I buy any more plants he would leave me.
Damn! I'm going to miss that guy.

I couldn't resist and shopped at the Nehrling Gardens plant sale this past weekend :-)
I brought home a Neoregelia 'Hannibal Lecter' and three Billbergias: 'After Glow', 'La Noche' and 'Hallelujah'.

Thought for the Weekend

I have found, through years of practice, that people garden
in order to make something grow; to interact with nature;
to share, to find sanctuary, to heal, to honor the earth,
to leave a mark.
Through gardening, we feel whole as we
make our personal work of art upon our land.

Give food to the birds, you will then be surrounded by the wings of love,
you will be encompassed by the joys of little silent hearts!

Thought for the weekend

I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's only me, and I walk alone

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
Till then I walk alone

I walk alone, I walk alone
I walk alone.....

It is our home.

Green is the prime color of the world,
And that from which its loveliness arises.

Thought for the weekend

Treat the Earth well.
It was not given to you by your parents,
it was loaned to you by your children.
We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors,
we borrow it from our children.

I give them love and they give me flowers.”

Thought for the weekend

A wild and crazy weekend for me is

sitting on the beach, reading a good book,

 and sipping a coco loco.

Coco Cay is a tiny island used exclusively by Royal Caribbean Cruiseline and a stop on their weekend cruise to Nassau.
The floating bar in the picture is a recent edition to the island and super fun to hang out, sip a Coco Loco and chat with fellow cruisers.
