Interesting...



A pair of doves can produce up to five or six broods a year!



Generally, the female lays 2 eggs.
The nest is never left unattended; one parent sits on the nest from mid-morning until late
afternoon, then the other parent takes over for the night.

  1. Indeed...very interesting! I have some of these lovely birds visit the ground near the bird feeders. They always seem so delicate.
