Still cruising

On this year's Halloween cruise we had a few days on sea with two stops, the Grand Cayman Island and Cozumel, Mexico.

Cozumel is a tiny Island about 45 miles off the mainland and basically only for tourism. But that's fine, the all-day Island tour allows you to get a glimpse into Mexican history and culture.

I wish we had more time for 'Discover Mexico Park Cozumel'. We had to rush through, barely enough time to snap pictures in the Museum of contemporary Mexican folk art.

We were ushered into the Diorama Garden, again, just having time to snap pictures on the run. The tropical gardens pathways wind around to scale miniatures of Mexican monuments from prehispanic, colonial and modern times. There is much more to see and learn in this Discovery Park.

We also enjoyed the Mayan Cocoa Company,

but again, no time to see it all. We had time for a demonstration how the ancient Mayans prepared chocolate.

Two sales stops were included in that tour, first at a Tequila tasting hut, and second at a jewelry shop.
And a 5 minute stop at a beautiful beach to see the mainland in the far distance before we were returned to the ship.

Two floating towns side by side, the Oasis of the Seas and the Freedom of the Seas
