A new visitor in Myrtle Glen

This beautiful bird is an American Redstart, a first of its kind stopping by in Myrtle Glen on his way to his winter home farther south.

It was difficult to get any good pictures. This bird is very nimble, twisting and turning through the Myrtle branches hunting insects.

I did see a female, but the pictures did not come out. Her colors were gray and olive green with yellow spots instead of the male's orange.
